2023 USPS Postage Update

As of January 2023, the USPS has increased the service cost of postage for any shipping and mailing. This includes any bulk mailing or individual campaigns and the price changes will take effect on January 22, 2023.

The purpose behind the increase is to reach financial stability in response to inflation. According to the USPS, it does not utilize taxes and relies on sales of services and postage to operate. 

As a leading provider in direct mail services, it is important to help our prospects and current/past customers be aware of any changes in the USPS from delivery days, postage costs, regulators, and more.

Here are some of the postage price changes:

  • Letters

    • First Class Mail letters will increase from $0.60 to $0.63

    • Presorted Bulk First Class letters will increase from $0.515 to $0.531

    • Presorted Bulk Standard Class letters will increase from $0.349 to $0.36

  • Postcards

    • First Class Mail postcards will increase from $0.44 to $0.48 

    • Presorted Bulk First Class postcards will increase from $0.359 to $0.381

    • Presorted Bulk Standard Class postcards will increase from $0.349 to $0.36

The first class mail rates for both postcards and letters are for any individual or bulk mailings that are handled within your own organization or business without a mailing permit.
