2020 USPS Temporary Postage Rate Change for Commercial Customers
Our team at the Addressers is dedicated to updating you and your business on the changes in USPS postage prices from year to year. The USPSP postage costs factor in variables including the type of mail class from first class and priority class, weight to the shape of the direct mail piece.
For the days between 10/18 and 12/27 the USPS announced commercial postage rate changes in order to adjust to the holiday season. This includes Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, First-Class Package Service, Parcel Select, and Parcel Return Service. These price changes will not affect the retail consumer.
First-Class Package Services will have commercial rates increase a flat rate of $0.25. Priority Mail will see an increase in commercial rates at $0.40 and regional rate parcels at $0.40. Priority Mail Express will have an increase across all types, weights, and zones at a flat rate of $1.50. Parcel select ground will see a flat rate increase of $0.40.
The USPS also extended Priority Mail services and First-Class Package Mail services by 1 extra day.
